Yeah yeah, I’m late. Last weekend my sister took me, the nephew and the niece to Sea World. Yep, I have a wonderful sister. She paid for EVERYTHING! Meals, hotel, margaritas and entrance to Sea World. We stayed at a Sea World recommended hotel. It was a package deal. The package included a 2-day pass into Sea World. Each kid got a Sea World backpack with a Sea World towel and a plush Shamu. The hotel had fire pits on the patio where the kids could make smores.

A great time was had by all.

Last Saturday, 4/26, the photohunt theme was unique/funny signs. I have an update.

Yup. You read that right “Eat Here Get Gas”.  What a sign! Let me tell you it makes me want to chow down.  This sign was found at The Pier on Lake Travis.  It’s a floating dock restaurant.  You can pull your boat up you can “eat here” or “get gas” for your boat.

I had the BFD over this weekend. So first my rant. I was scheduled to pick her up at 4:30 at a local restaurant. At 4:45 they (the bfd and her mom) were not there, so I called. They were running late. More accurately the BFD hadn’t been picked up from daycare yet. They were about an hour away. So I am thinking “gee, I wonder why she didn’t call before I arrived.” The new plan was to get her at 5:30. At 5:40 she called and said that the BFD wanted to continue playing and they just left. So I am thinking “So your the parent and your on a schedule” And why didnt she called when they made the decision to play. New plan meet up in 1/2 hour. At 6:30 they show up. Two hours late!!! Is my time so invaluable? Can she really be this rude? Is she really this irresponsible? Then I remember yes - she was an hour late bringing the BFD to her birthday party. She is a real estate agent does she treat her clients like this? So me and the BFD finally make it home. I unpack her bag. This is what she had for a weekend.

• one pair of shorts
• a pair of pajama bottoms
• 1 Onesie - Size 24 months .Granted its probably the largest onesie I’ve ever seen
  
• 1 pair of socks
• 1 red outfit
• 7 pairs of shoes

Yes, SEVEN pairs of shoes!!! No underwear, no pajamas. The child will be here Friday night, all day Saturday, and until 7 or 8 on Sunday. I wonder is she doing this on purpose? Or is she really this irresponsible? Here I am a non-mom and I think this is wrong. Is this behavior normal? Am I expecting too much?

Enough of my rant. Saturday night we took the BFD to a floating restaurant called The Pier. The restaurant is out on a boat dock on Lake Travis. Which made it possible to feed all the fishes.  I must note that this is not a place you should go for the food.  This is a nice place to feed the fishes, have a drink or two, enjoy being outside, and they even have live music at times. Below is a picture of the fishes - they are HUGE!.  Pictured are catfishes and carp.  Let me tell you they will eat anything - even veggies!

I ordered a new camera last night. I decided on the Panasonic DMC-FZ18K.

So today’s theme is Time.

Last night I was watching the “The Last Unicorn” with the BFD when I heard this line.

To get to the Red Bull’s chamber, you have to walk through time. A clock isn’t time; it’s just numbers and springs. Pay it no mind.
